The award winning Black Dog Hill Bridge was conceived, designed, developed and engineered by MLDE and was one of only eight to be given Millennium Bridge status.
A lightweight 2.1m wide Kerto deck is strung between Glu-Lam timber rocker beams which hang from a 675x675 mm parabolic Glu-Lam redwood timber arch to give a spectacular fusion of materials and forms.
The bridge forms an important link within the Sustrans National Cycle Network and has been featured in a number of national publications including The Independant newspaper, The Structural Engineer and The Architect's Journal.
