In 2007 the lifetime ambition of current owner Anthony Battersby (Mendip Power Group chairman) was realised with a new 55KW micro-hydropower turbine producing clean, renewable energy and restoring the mill to its original purpose.

The project has involved the installation of the turbine, which generates approx 250,000KWh per year, clearing the ancient leat which serves the mill, raising the level of the upstream weir, and the redevelopment of the mill building to incorporate contemporary accomodation and office spaces.
